Not his best movie ever, but in it we see a sound evolution of Woody's love for 30's and 40's jazz. It goes from slapstick silly in "Bananas" to romanticism in "Annie Hall" to epic Gershwin pieces featured in Manhattan. Man loves city. City loves music.

Where we're going we don't need roads.

Le clan des Siciliens

John Zorn -- avant-garde composer and also former of a punk band in the 80's. However this song is a cover of Ennio Morricone's The Sicilian Clan. Zorn/Morricone (pictured respectively) make a lovely pairing. I want to see this movie now (a french film by Henri Verneuil from 1969). Check out the trailer with what looks like the original Robert DeNiro:
